Who Are We?

The beliefs we hold and the ideas we value shape who we are and what we do. The following identity pillars are guides for us to build upon as we become the church God wants us to be for the people God sent us to serve.

Seven Pillars.jpeg

OPEN HANDED - We believe that what we have been given has been gifted to us by God. Thus, we are blessed to be a blessing.

FUTURE FOCUSED - We believe in ensuring that our impact is beyond this generation by investing in the next generation.

DISCIPLESHIP DRIVEN - We believe in becoming, being, and cultivating fully functioning Followers of Christ that will stand firm til the end.

GOSPEL CENTERED - When it comes to the gospel, we have to both live it out and get it out. It’s all about Jesus!

NEXT STEPS CELEBRATING - We believe every decision that someone takes toward Christ is a big awesome decision worth celebrating.

MISSIONS MOTIVATED - We believe that we should be continually finding ways to share the Good News of Jesus with people both here (our communities) & there (the world).

SERVANT MINDED - We believe in serving others like Christ served us. We are always looking for an opportunity to humble ourselves and serve Christ by serving others.

Beliefs

I. GOD

We believe that there is only one true, living, and eternal God and that the Godhead is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

II. THE BIBLE

We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and infallible Word of God, and they provide the only reliable guide of Christian faith and conduct.

III. HUMANITY

We believe that God created people in His own image to bring Him honor through obedience, and that when people disobeyed God, they became fallen and sinful creatures, unable to save themselves.

IV. SALVATION

We believe that every person can experience a saving relationship (salvation involving regeneration, sanctification, justification, and redemption) through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Christ has provided for this relationship through His sinless life, death, resurrection, ascension, and intercession.

V. CHRISTIAN DUTIES

We believe that Christians should live faithfully by serving in and through the local church, praying diligently, witnessing earnestly, practicing tolerance, showing loving kindness, giving as God prospers, and conducting themselves in such a way as to bring glory to God.

VI. THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church Universal is the Body of Christ, the fellowship of all believers. We believe that a local church is a fellowship of Christians, a part of the Body of Christ, and that it is imperative that every Christian be a member of a local church for worship, nurture, and service.

VII. ORDINANCES

We believe that baptism and the Lord¹s Supper are ordinances instituted by Christ to be observed by Christians only. We practice baptism by immersion and believe participation in the Lord’s Supper should be open to all Christians.

VIII. LAST THINGS

We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, and in the bodily resurrection of the dead. We believe that God will judge all humanity by Jesus Christ and that He will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell.
