Teenagers have their whole lives laid out in front of them like they are looking out at a horizon, but it is up to them to choose their path. It is the time where they plan out their future, they decide what direction they are going to travel, and they build the character and habits that will be with them for the rest of their lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
At Skyline, we have three main goals for our youth ministry.
-
We want our students and teenagers to experience the Gospel, to hear that Jesus loves them and has given his life to pay for their sins and to build their lives on those foundations
-
We want to create a community of students that can laugh, talk, communicate, support, and serve one another.
-
We want to partner with parents to help our students acknowledge God while they are young and begin walking the path that God has called them to.
